Dear Friends and Contributors,

Over the past month, I’ve been working more on the draft and several interviews with industry leaders from Warner Music, Red Bull Records, Meta and others.

Editors

In addition, I’ve been meeting and speaking with book editors who can take my manuscript draft to something more of a ‘draft 2’. The process of finding the right editor has been a challenge (and the costs can vary from $500 to over $5k) but I hope to confirm the new editor within a few weeks.

GTM Plan

As some of you know, I’ve been leaning into Linkedin as my main driver of attention given my number of followers which is 16.6k now and making weekly posts this past month about content from this book. The engagement has been a mix but looking at the statistics, around 4k impressions and 1.3k members reached. In October, I’ve engaged with an agency to help improve the posts and engagement to drive as much attention as we can towards the newsletter sign ups and eventually the book launch in Q1 2026.

Alongside the book and monthly newsletter, my plan is to announce a suite of products around the book from free PDF’s to in-depth physical books. The one product I realyl want to get right is the audiobook, which I’m fortunate enough to have a great network of people who can support on this!

Towards the end of the year, I’ll be featured on a few podcasts to give me an opportunity and platform to speak about the book in more detail and why I feel now is the right time for it to be released.

As promised in the last update, I’ll be sharing the front cover of my book this week and thanks to the greenlight from Berklee College of Music, I’ve been lucky to feature Alexandre Perrin’s name on the front as the foreword writer - this is great news!

Bing Bong Book Front Cover Final Draft 1

“A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats”

Because I value the input of my peers so greatly, I’ve made a Google Doc of the latest draft and I’m asking several people to contribute to a chapter. I do believe that this book will put a focus on the importance of a strategic approach to music that will benefit all of us involved. My deadline for final suggestions is December which should give me enough time before getting ready for finalising everything in the new year.

Communities

We will be partnering with a number of members-only Creative [The One Club, Soho House, Creatives for Climate etc] and Business [The Portfolio Collective etc] communities to promote and market the book - should you have any other networks where the book could bring value, please do feel free to share and let me know by replying to this email.

Contributors

This book wouldn’t be as informed and effective without the amazing people who’ve contributed so far. With this in mind, we are still exploring further collaboration opportunities (my aim is 100 interviews and we’ve around 60 so far). If you have anyone in mind that you’d like to suggest as a contributor, please do let me know by replying to this email. I think the more, the better quality of the book and more opportunities to share our wisdom with as many as possible.

Thank You

To my knowledge, a book like this has never existed before. I can’t thank all of you enough for the belief and ongoing support.

Bing Bong.
